Sorry once again for the lack of posts lately.  I am having trouble saving pictures to my computer and have been having this trouble for weeks now.  I'm hoping I can get it resolved by the end of the week because I have tons of pictures that are just waiting to make it to our blog.  So hang in there....I should be back soon!

Peace, Love, Gumbo

We threw a small Christmas party before we left to travel to Louisiana for Christmas.  It was a last minute idea that turned out to be a lot of fun.  I cooked gumbo for everyone and made a few festive Christmas appetizers.  We asked everyone to bring a small gift to play Dirty Santa and that turned out to be a great idea.  All the gifts were hilarious...a Shrek Chia pet, a Justin Bieber singing toothbrush, Grinch boxers, a Christmas Story leg lamp window cling, and several nose hair trimmers.  It turned out to be a great night and we all laughed a lot!

Parents-to-be and the best next door neighbors ever!

I was so excited when I found out Cain had two 'events' at his Mother's Day Out program that I would get to go to during the month of December.  The first 'event' was that I was able to go watch him sing during music class.  Cain goes to Mother's Day Out every Monday and Wednesday and when he is there on Monday's they have someone come into the class and sing songs with the kids.  All of the parents were invited to come watch them sing Christmas songs one Monday.

Then the last day before Cain's class let out for Christmas break the class had a small Christmas party.  All the kids were able to wear their Christmas PJ's to class that day.  A funny story to go along with that is the night before Cain refused to change into his pajama's.  This is usually never a problem but on this night he wanted to keep the clothes on that he wore all day long.  He didn't even want me taking his shoes or socks off.  I was exhausted from the day and let him win the battle and just put him in his crib for the night wearing a button up, jeans, and his shoes still on. (yes I know...mom of the year, right?)  The next morning when I could have just taken him to school in his PJ's I had to actually change him into pajama's since he slept in his clothes the night before.

Cain was still sleeping on his nap mat when I arrived for his party.  It was so cute to see him sleeping on his little mat.

It was fun to see Cain with all his classmates.

These are two of Cain's teachers.  Mrs. Tina is on the right of this picture.  I am pretty sure Cain has a special place in Mrs. Tina's heart.  You can tell she loves him so much which always makes me happy when I drop him off at "school".

We arrived home yesterday after a great trip to Louisiana.  We had a wonderful Christmas!!!  Possibly one of the best ever.  I have tons of pictures to go through and share but first I need to work on unpacking and finding room for Cain & Callie's new toys.  Santa must have thought they were both very good this year.
