Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  We traveled to Louisiana the Thursday before Easter and stayed until Tuesday.  It was great to see our family and friends.  I'm already ready to go back.

On Good Friday we met the Coplin's, Kristi, and Holli for a morning at the Monroe Zoo.

The kids seemed to have a blast.  Later that afternoon we drove to Vicksburg to visit with family and attend the family campout.  My cousin Kirk and his wife Melissa were in town from Kansas so this was our first time to meet Kaleb.

We drove back to Monroe late Friday night and Saturday Brad played golf with friends while I took the kids to see the Easter bunny.

Cain did better than I thought he would with the Easter Bunny.  He first gave the bunny a very concerned look but warmed up to him very quickly.

Later that night we cooked out with the Franklin's and let Cain and Collier dye Easter eggs.  By the time Cain was done he had dye under his eye, on his chin, belly and covering his hands.  He had a blast!

Sunday morning we went to Easter service with my dad and spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying our family time.

It was so nice to have a nice, relaxing trip home.  This will be our last trip home before Cain's surgery so I was glad we were able to make the trip so everyone could give him big hugs and love on him.
