Happy Birthday Cain!!!!!

I can not believe Cain turns two today!  Without a doubt the past two years have been the best two years of my life.  We have been through tremendous ups and downs during the past two years but those two years have been filled with so much joy because of Cain.  He is truly my hero and both Brad and I are so proud he is our son.  He has taught us that a birthday isn't just a's a true celebration of life.

Louisiana Trip

Callie can now say she has been on her first road trip. We traveled to Louisiana so Callie could meet friends and family. Cain has always been great for us on the 8 hour car ride to my parents but we were nervous of how Callie would do. Thankfully she did great! She didn't make a sound until we were 30 minutes from my moms house. I think she tried making up for her lack of crying and let us have it for the last 30 minutes of the drive.

We've had a wonderful time at my parents and have really enjoyed all of our friends getting to meet our new baby girl!

I think Callie has enjoyed all the attention!

My mom's house was full of kids Saturday and I think Sadie enjoyed all the attention she received too!

Brad's step-sister and her kids drove up on Sunday to meet Callie and to see Cain.
"Hey...I know y'all are college students who woke up at 5am to come see me but I'm not going to let you sleep!"
"Well, if you insist on napping I guess I'll let you sleep with my Mike the Tiger"

Winter Wonderland Day 2

We had to go back outside yesterday for day two of playing in our winter wonderland.

My neighbors niece & nephew have been out of school so they have spent a lot of time at our house this week.  I have loved having them here.  Amani is 9 years old and Braden is 11 years old so it has given me a glimpse of what Callie and Cain may be like years from now.  Both of the kids were at my house when they found out their school would be closed again tomorrow and it was hysterical to see their reaction.  Let's just say there was a lot of excitement!

Amani has really helped me take care of Cain and Callie this week while she has been out of school.  She helped me give Callie a bath and was brushing her hair before we put in a new bow.  I quickly took a picture of the two of them and this is the picture I captured.  I love it.  I think it is such a sweet picture.  Callie certainly looks like she is enjoying all of the attention.

Snow Days

We received a few inches of snow this week and decided we needed to bundle Cain up and enjoy it.  Thankfully Callie takes decent afternoon naps (sometimes) so Brad and I were able to spend some fun quality time with our favorite little guy.

We helped Cain build his very first snowman.  Actually Brad and our neighbors niece really did all the work.  Cain helped a little but he mostly supervised and I was busy taking pictures.

We all had a blast playing in the snow!  Sadie even enjoyed it.

Here is our own little frosty the snowman....

I think he will be out in our yard for awhile because it keeps snowing and I don't think the temperature will be above freezing anytime soon.

You better watch out around here because you never know when you will get a head full or face full of snow.

I'm sure we will be back out in the snow today enjoying it!  I can't wait!

To say I'm behind on my blog would be an understatement!  I guess I've been trying to get used to being a mother of two under two and updating our blog hasn't been something I've found much time to do.

We moved back into our house the Tuesday before Christmas so packing and unpacking has kept us very busy.  I feel things are starting to get back to normal so hopefully I can find time to update our blog.  I have TONS of catching up to do!

So be on the lookout for many pictures and updates to come over the next few days!  No more excuses...I must get our blog up to date!
