Thanksgiving 2010

We spent Thanksgiving in Nashville this year since I couldn't travel due to having a baby any day now.  I hate we weren't able to be with our family but we still had a great day.  Brad ran in the Boulevard Bolt again this year.  I can't tell you how bad I wanted to walk in it but Brad insisted that I didn't.  I have felt great during this pregnancy so I thought walking the race would be no problem at all.  Brad kept making good points about what if you fall, etc so I listened to him and didn't participate.  As much as I hate to admit this...he was probably right!  As Cain and I walked with Brad from our car to the starting line I realized there was no way I could have made the 5 mile race even if I had only walked it.  The short distance from the car to see Brad start the race ended up being just enough walking for me.

Brad being silly before the race
Patiently waiting for his Daddy to make it to the finish line.
Cain and I enjoyed watching everyone run by in their fun costumes.  I'm thinking I should have made Brad dress up like a turkey.

After the race we went home so I could make sweet potatoes and head over to Derek and Andrea's house to celebrate Thanksgiving with their family.  They were so kind to invite us again this year.  We had Thanksgiving with them in '08 when I was pregnant with Cain.

The food was great and we had a great time visiting with everyone.  I think Cain had a good time putting on a show.  He hardly stayed still for more than one second.  I was relieved when he finally sat down and watched Dora with Ellie.

Aren't they adorable?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Our family has SO MUCH to be thankful for this year.

I'm especially thankful for this little turkey....

And our other little turkey on the way!!

I'm also MORE THAN THANKFUL to have a wonderful husband who is also my best friend!  I think we make a great team through the good and the bad!  We have certainly been through several very stressful situations together and I can't imagine having anyone else by my side.

I am also very thankful for our family and friends.  I've always appreciated my family and friends but my appreciation of them has grown even more over the last few years.

And I'm thankful that we will be able to move back in our home in a few weeks.  I can't wait!!

Speaking of our little turkey on the way.....

I went to the OB on Wednesday and I am scheduled to be induced this coming Tuesday, November 30th.  I can't believe she will be here in a few days.  My parents are driving up on Monday and I have to be at the hospital on Tuesday morning at 5:30AM.  I was told the Dr. should be in around 8:30 to break my water.  This Tuesday is a week before my due date.  I'm already dilated, baby girl's head is already very low and this is my 2nd pregnancy so the Dr's seem very comfortable about me being induced.  I hope they are right!  I'll week works out much better because we have to be out of our apartment on December 10th and her due date had been December 7th.  I am a little nervous though about me not progressing after being induced and ending up having to have a C-section.  I guess we will find out what  happens on Tuesday.  I'm praying that everything works out perfectly.  Cain came exactly a week early so maybe she is supposed to come a week early too!

We'll be sitting by the phone waiting for the news.
